The Market Place

Thank you for your interest in a Market Place 'stall' or 'pitch' at the EGCF 1948 Festival Fete. The EGCF welcomes applications from traders selling quality produce, goods and services. (This includes artisan foods, condiments, cakes etc but does not include snack and meal retailers who must apply via the Catering and Food Section).

Market Place trading times are: Saturday 4th August 11am-9pm (no packing up before 7pm) and Sunday 5th August 11am-5pm (no packing up before 5pm). You are required to embrace the 1948 theme of the 1948 Fete and dress/decorate your stall/pitch (and/or yourself!!) accordingly. Anything you use to dress the stall or pitch must fit completely inside the booked area, and cause no obstruction to surrounding stalls or pitches. We also ask that all Stall Holders give a small item for the tombola or raffle.

Market place 'stalls' are pre-built and covered. Marketplace 'pitches' are open-air pitches and are located along paths and footways and may be on uneven ground or on grass (so you should be prepared for a shower of rain).

There is no vehicle access to the Pleasaunce so you will need to carry your own goods to your stall. Please contact us if this is a problem. If any staff or volunteers on a stall are classed as a vulnerable person, e.g. under 18, disabled, pregnant, etc, the stallholder is responsible for appropriate Health & Safety provision.

Please answer the questions below. We use an electronic registration process as it helps to keep everything very organised. It's a lot quicker than reading handwritten applications and then entering them in to a computer. Once your application is approved we will invoice you and send you a copy of our Terms and Conditions which you must sign and return with your payment. Any queries should be sent to [email protected].
