Eleanor Margolies

Eleanor Margolies is writer and theatre-maker with a special interest in education and environmental issues. Recent project include Harvest It!, which incorporated storytelling and a ‘foraging’ stall at Myatt’s Field Festival, and a series of guided walks in South London exploring French and German immigration, the history of artists collectives, and local wildlife.

Her writing often adopts an unexpected viewpoint on a familiar landscape or objects, e.g. tracing a lost canal in South London, recording the smells of New York, or discovering the performance potential of a pair of shoes. She has published poems in several magazines and won an Eric Gregory Prize from the Society of Authors for The Foot and Its Covering (unpublished).
